City Site Estates Secure Deal Hat Trick at 145 St Vincent Street

DTZ and GVA Grimley have brokered a hat-trick of deals which has seen Anglo Irish Bank, specialist employment services group Remploy and chartered accountant McLay, McAlister and McGibbon relocate to landmark Glasgow city centre building 145 St Vincent Street.

Anglo Irish Bank has moved its Glasgow office to the building from 180 St Vincent Street, taking a total of 9,281 sq ft over the seventh and eighth floors. AIB, which acted for itself in the deal, has taken a 10-year lease, which includes four car parking spaces.

Remploy has taken a 10-year lease, on 3,952 sq ft on the ground floor of the building. The company, which specialises in placing disabled workers in jobs, has moved to 145 St Vincent Street from its previous base in the West End of Glasgow. Fulcrum Corporate advised Remploy in its relocation.

McLay, McAlister and McGibbon has relocated to a first-floor 4,265 sq ft suite in the building from 53 Bothwell Street. The chartered accountant has also taken a 10-year lease.

Joint agent DTZ acted for landlord City Site Estates and Stephen McKenna said: "These three deals illustrate just how popular this prominent corner office block is proving to be with tenants and already have further interest in the building.

"This landmark building is situated in the centre of Glasgow's financial and business district, within easy reach of transport links which serve the whole of Scotland."

Alastair Cumming of GVA Grimley said: "We have been delighted to be involved with 145 St Vincent Street. Within two months of completion of the development we have secured a further three premium tenant in Anglo Irish Bank, Remploy and McLay, McAlister and McGibbon."

Ian Gladwinfield of City Site Estates said: "We are extremely pleased with these lettings and there are now just four floors still to be let in the building which has been extensively refurbished to create a truly contemporary office building in the heart of Glasgow."

The first tenant to occupy space in 145 St Vincent Street was King Sturge.
