DTZ Secure Letting of Iconic 53 Bothwell Street

53 Bothwell Street, an iconic refurbished listed building, in the heart of Glasgow's financial district has attracted Maxwell MacLaurin Solicitors, one of Glasgow’s top legal firms.

Number 53 Bothwell Street represents popular office space with quality finishes throughout. The 6th floor accommodation features raised access flooring, air conditioning and LG3 Lighting.

Greg Dykes, of City Site Estates said:  "Our view was to refurbish the former residential space on the 7th floor and link it to the 6th Floor providing quality open plan space with excellent natural light. In addition to this the common parts, including lifts, underwent an extensive refurbishment programme. We are pleased to have secured Maxwell MacLaurin as tenants."

Stephen McKenna, surveyor at DTZ, commented:  "Given the quality and flexibility of the refurbishment completed by City Site Estates, Maxwell MacLaurin were able to acquire the space at a very competitive rental.  The 6th floor east remains and we are already talking to another prospective occupier."

Mike Buchan, Director at Jones Lang La Salle, acting on behalf of Maxwell MacLaurin added: "The securing of quality space at 53 Bothwell Street for Maxwell MacLaurin Solicitors illustrates the continued preference for corporate occupiers to remain located within the traditional city centre and the ongoing attraction that Bothwell Street has as a prime location."

The two floors have been leased by DTZ's office team at a rental level of £14.50 per sq ft.  The total space comprises of 4,613 sq ft on the 6th floor and 1,169 sq ft on the 7th floor. Alan Watt Consulting are joint letting agents for the building.
Issued on behalf of DTZ by Weber Shandwick.
